This site is operated by Ahoy Partners, LLC, a professional and executive search firm. Throughout these terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Ahoy Partners, LLC, and "you" refers to anyone using the site.

Using this site

You may use this site to learn about our services, to contact us about a search, and to submit your own information as a candidate. You agree not to use it to submit false or misleading information, to submit anyone else's personal information without their permission, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its underlying systems, to scrape or harvest content or data by automated means, or to interfere with the site's normal operation.

Contacting us does not create an engagement

Submitting the contact form, sending us your resume, or exchanging emails with us does not by itself create a search engagement, a client relationship, or any obligation on either side. We take on client work only under a separate written agreement signed by both parties. Nothing on this site is an offer of employment, and nothing here guarantees placement in any role.

Content and intellectual property

The content on this site, including the text, layout, design, logos, illustrations, and the Compass Report and its underlying methodology, is owned by Ahoy Partners, LLC or used under license, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share links to these pages. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or adapt the content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Fonts, third-party scripts, and other components used on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their own licenses.

Information you send us

You keep ownership of the information you submit. By sending it, you give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for, which for candidates means evaluating fit and, with your agreement, presenting you to a client. You confirm that the information you send is accurate and that you have the right to share it. How we handle that information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep this site accurate and current, but we don't warrant that it is complete, error-free, or continuously available. The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Links to other sites

Where we link to a third-party site, we do so for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, their practices, or their privacy policies.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ahoy Partners, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of this site, including lost profits or lost business opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Any obligations relating to an actual search engagement are governed by the signed agreement for that engagement, not by these terms.

SMS messaging program

Ahoy Partners, LLC operates an SMS text messaging program for people who have given us their mobile number and agreed to be contacted by text. We use it to coordinate the practical parts of a search: confirming and rescheduling interviews and calls, sending status updates on a search you are involved in, following up after a conversation, and answering questions you have sent us. We do not use it to send marketing or promotional messages.

You are enrolled only if you opted in, either by giving us your mobile number and consenting on our contact form, by asking us in writing to text you, or by texting us first. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of being considered for a role or of engaging us for a search.

Message frequency varies. How often you hear from us depends on the stage of the search you are involved in, and there is no fixed schedule or recurring send.

Message and data rates may apply. Any charges come from your mobile carrier under your own plan, not from us.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and we will send no further texts to that number unless you opt in again. You can also ask us to stop by emailing [email protected].

For help, reply HELP to any message from us, or contact us directly at [email protected]. That inbox is monitored by a partner and is the support contact for this messaging program.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee that every message will arrive.

Mobile opt-in data and phone numbers collected for this program are not shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. How we handle that information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
